Chocolate Chip Scones

Ingredients:

2 1/2 cups flour

1 Tbsp baking powder

2 tbsp granulated sugar

12 tbsp unsalted butter 🐄

1 egg

3/4 cup buttermilk 🐄

1 cup chocolate chips 🐄

2 tbsp heavy cream 🐄

Directions:

1. Mix together your dry ingredients of flour, baking powder and sugar.

2. With a cheese grater, grate your cold butter and mix into dry ingredients with your hands until it reaches a mealy texture. Add in your egg and buttermilk, then fold in your chocolate chips until combined.

3. Spread into a square onto a baking sheet and cut into serving sizes. Cost in heavy cream with baking brush and bake at 350 degrees F for 15-20 minutes or until lightly golden browned.

You can swap chocolate chips for your favorite fruit, nut or sweet combo!
