Puff Pastry with Custard & Berries

Light, fluffy & sweet, these pretty little pastries are so simple to make and the perfect addition to any brunch or spring party!

Ingredients:

1 sheet of puff pastry, cut into 6 square sections

1 egg, beaten

1 tbsp granulated sugar

1 packet instant vanilla pudding mix

3 cups cold milk πŸ„

Handful of mixed berries

2 tbsp powdered sugar

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. With your pastry sheet rolled out flat onto a baking sheet, cut it into 6 even squares. Make an β€œL” shaped cut on the bottom corner of your pastry square. Repeat step in the top corner across from the β€œL” shape you just cut. Pick up corners and fold across the square to make your pastry shape. Repeat steps for all other squares.

2. In a separate bowl, beat your egg and brush prepared squares with the egg wash. Sprinkle granulated sugar on dough before placing in the oven. Bake for 8 minutes or until golden brown.

3. Follow instructions on your (5.1 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix to combine with 3 cups of cold milk. Once pudding sets, transfer into a gallon ziplock bag and cut the corner to make a piping bag.

4. Pipe chilled pudding into the center of your pastry. Don’t get too close to the edges. Top with your favorite berries and powdered sugar.

Enjoy! x Hailey 🀍
