Oven Baked S’mores Bars

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter

  • 2/3 cup brown sugar

  • 1/2 cup whole milk

  • 1 Tsp vanilla

  • 1 1/2 cup graham crack crumbs

  • About 2-3 sleeves of graham crackers, depending on brand

  • 2 1/2 cups chocolate chips

  • 6 cups mini marshmallows

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Line an 8 or 9” square pan with parchment paper.

  2. Melt butter in a sauce pan over medium heat and mix in your milk, brown sugar and vanilla. Remove the sauce pan from the heat once all combined. Add in your graham cracker crumbs and combine, this should make a thick sauce.

  3. Assemble by laying down a single layer of full whole graham crackers until covering the bottom of your square pan. Okay to overlap them if needed to fit. Spoon a third of your graham cracker butte sauce over the whole crackers, smooth out until most of the surface is covered. Sprinkle a third of your marshmallows on top of your paste, and then a third of your chocolate chips.

  4. Arrange a second layer of graham crackers, sauce, marshmallows and chocolate chips. Repeat a third and last time. It should be as high or an inch above your pan line.

  5. Bake for 15- 18 minutes, checking at 15 minutes. Once your marshmallows are to your desired golden brown or toasted state, remove from the oven.

  6. Serve either warm in dessert dishes or cocktail glasses for a warm, gooey treat. Or if you prefer dessert bars, chill and then cut into squares and serve.
