she likes a top summer reading list
Honestly, until two summers ago, it had been a hot minute since I felt like picking a book up for leisure reading. I preface this because my list of summer reads shouldn’t intimidate novice readers, because I would consider myself a novice reader. But I can vouch that once you get bit by the bug from a few intoxicating reads, it’s a slippery slope to having “bookworm” as a personality trait. I’ve compiled some of those intoxicating reads here in this blog to get your reading journey started, or add some spice to your already existing love life with paperbacks. Here’s my top summer reading list for this season!
To avoid becoming bored with reading genres and plot predictability, I enjoy a blend of adult fiction, historical fiction, self help & autobiography reads this summer. I source most of my reading materials from Amazon, mostly due to convenience of having it arrive at my doorstep within a few days and affordability! I’ve also found myself actually reading more if I slide over to my Amazon app & adding a book to my cart upon seeing a good recommendation on Instagram, rather than trying to remember the titles of all the good one’s suggested! Here are my favorites, they are all linked for your convenience. Amazingly enough, close to all of these books are under $10!

My best friend lives in Texas, and the both of us have been doing a “summer bookclub” or “sisterhood of the traveling books” all summer. It’s been an extra neat way for us to stay connected despite the distance, and adds a fun dynamic to our already interesting daily conversations. Could be a fun way for you and a loved one, colleague, old friend to re-connect! 10/10 recommend. Thanks for reading, send any good book recommendations my way, below! x Hailey
